Mothers have strength like no other. They are strong, resilient, caring and wise. They teach their families to be kind and persevere through anything that comes to destroy.

“Older women similarly are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor addicted to much wine, teaching what is right and good, so that they may encourage the young women to tenderly love their husbands and their children, to be sensible, pure, makers of a home [where God is honored], good-natured, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.”

Titus 2:3-5 AMP

Mothers are chosen to be a good examples to all, even those who are not their children.

His Sacrifice

His Sacrifice

Today let’s give Jesus all glory, all honor and all praise. His sacrifice on the cross saved us from enteral damnation. He gave his life so that we could live!! So that everyone could live.

Jesus said, “It is finished”, meaning he paid it ALL! There was no debt remaining, there was nothing left to be paid. His sacrifice paid it completely & permanently.

Take time today to reflect on what sacrifice truly means to you. And think of just how much God loves us to be willing to give his only son so that we could have eternal life even when we aren’t worthy.

Reflect today on what sacrifice means to you. What would you be capable of sacrificing that you hold dear?

Imagine giving up your life for another. Yesterday, I went and saw the movie, His Only Son and wow, was it powerful!! Can you imagine being asked to give up your only child or your only son? It’s close to impossible to think of ourselves in the that position isn’t it? I likely would not be strong enough to let my baby go, let alone by my own hands. My human heart would fail me in that situation.

In Genesis 22:1-12, Abraham showed us what supernatural faith is. Abraham didn’t understand why God wanted him to sacrifice his only son. But, even when he didn’t understand, he trusted God with supernatural faith and and he obeyed. Even his son Isaac who was to be sacrificed knew it wasn’t his will to be sacrificed, but he didn’t fight it, he and his father were both willing to trust God and obey his command even when it did no make sense to them. That must have taken unshakable faith to do.

God’s commanding Abraham to sacrifice his own son Isaac was in parallel a foreshadowing of God’s sacrifice of His own Son, His only son.

  • Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”- Genesis 22:2.
  • For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16

Our Father God, gave up his only son Jesus as a sacrifice to save us!! Do you realize how just deep is God’s love? Do you know how much you’re truly loved?

  • Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering. – Genesis 22:2.
  • For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, – 1 Corinthians 15:3.

What would you be capable of sacrificing? Can you even imagine or fathom how much obedience being willing to sacrifice your own child takes?

The very thought causes me to cry out to God. God thank you for your sacrifice!!! Thank you for your great love. Jesus thank you for loving us so much that you chose to endure the cross.

Let’s praise our Lord and Savior today!! He is so worthy!! Think of his great love today, remember his sacrifice and know you are to die for.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, would you like to open up your heart and let him in today? He gave his life on the cross, so that you could have eternal life in heaven. To do this, we must repent for our sins and ask him into our hearts. If you would like to do this today, say this prayer with me:

Father God, forgive me of my sins. I know that I am a sinner, and Jesus Christ died on the cross so that I could have eternal life. Today, I open up my heart and invite you in. I believe that Jesus took the punishment so that through his sacrifice on the cross I could gain eternal life. I receive your free offer of forgiveness, and accept you to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for your grace and forgiveness, in Jesus name. Amen.

If you said this prayer, know that you are now saved and have eternal life in heaven. I praise God and rejoice with you!! “In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!” – Luke 15:7 NLT

If you have said this prayer today, please send me a message. I would love to pray for you.

Living as a Christian is a blessing, but can have challenges. Seek out a local, bible based church that you can plug into. Community is so important when you desire to dedicate your life to God. By connecting with the local church you will find brothers and sisters who will help you grow in your walk with God and support you when the enemy tries to turn you away from him. Finding a home church can take time, so, even if you have to be at visit a few, take your time and do not get discouraged. Pray to God and ask him to reveal to you when you have found the church he desires for you to call home.

Father God, we thank you for sacrificing your only son for our sins so that we can live and have life, eternal life. Lord, transform our hearts into one of gratitude, one of remembrance, and honor for all you have done for us. Lord draw us near to you, and fill us with your love so that we would be willing to share all you have done for us with everyone who will listen. Let us share of your unconditional love and of your transformational power. Lord, thank you for showing us what true love is, true sacrificial love. A love with no condition. We honor you today, we worship you today, and we give you all praise. You alone are worthy Lord. Thank you for paying our debt. Hallelujah, we love you Lord! May we continue to praise you for all the days of our lives, in Jesus Mighty Name, we pray Amen.

May God bless you and continue to draw you closer to him.

Growing with you,

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day

Today we honor father’s for all that they do for their family and their children.

A father should be the leader of the family. Their role is to provide, protect, guide, share wisdom, encourage and comfort.

As we celebrate father’s today, here are some Bible verses to encourage and bless you today:

Genesis 18:19 – For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.

Ephesians 6:4 – Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Proverbs 14:26‍ – Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.

Proverbs 4:1 – Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. For I too was a son to my father, still tender, and cherished by my mother. Then he taught me, and he said to me, “Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live.

Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 23:22 – Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

Proverbs 23:24 – The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.

Psalm 127:3 – Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Matthew 6:8 – Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Luke 15:20 – So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Joshua 24:15 – But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Psalm 103:13 – As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.

Colossians 3:21 – Parents, don’t come down too hard on your children or you’ll crush their spirits.

Malachi 4:6 – He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.

Psalm 103:13 – As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 – For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

1 Timothy 3:2-5 – Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)

Wishing father’s a beautiful day full of blessings and love!

May you never forget that you are the first example to your children of a mans role. May you always seek to show them that men should be examples of love, integrity, protection and respect.

May you always seek to mirror the love of God to your families and children. May you submit to God and always allow him to guide and cover you in your role.

Growing with you,

Sandy
